Who We Work With

Dialogue Speech and Language Therapy offer individual therapy or group therapy (i.e. communication groups for nursing homes). We provide assessments, therapy and reports. We liaise with other professionals involved and we can refer you to other professionals if we feel this is appropriate, e.g., physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Therapy interventions can be delivered face-to-face or online via Zoom, depending on your individual needs.

We work with adults (18+) who have communication difficulties either from a neurological impairment or which have been untreated/ongoing since childhood. For example we work with the following conditions:

  • Stroke
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Selective Mutism
  • Stammering
  • Social communication difficulties

  • Adults with Learning Disability

What We Do

We offer evidenced-based therapeutic interventions. We use a positive and holistic approach to intervention which also encompasses mental health and wellbeing practices to maximise your progress:

  • Aphasia therapy (e.g., receptive and expressive language difficulties)
  • Dysarthria therapy (e.g., speech difficulties, slurred speech, low voice volume)
  • Social communication therapy (e.g., social skills difficulties)
  • Selective Mutism therapy
  • Stammering therapy
  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy
  • AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication)

We work closely with family members and / or other health professionals to ensure our therapeutic interventions are functional. We can provide training with family members, or nursing / care home staff to ensure your communication environment is optimal. We offer face-to-face therapy or online therapy via Zoom, depending on your individual needs.
